For nearly two thousand years the authentic Yeshua (Jesus) has been lost.

The rift between a predominantly gentile Church and a Judaism dominated by the Rabbis caused Him to be hidden from the sight of those looking for Him – Jew and gentile alike.

That's why we're known as Shorashim Ministries, because we believe it is time we were all reunited in the original and authentic Jewish roots of our faith, and in the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua - hence Shorashim, the Hebrew for 'Roots'...

Shorashim – Roots (שורשים)

"He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green... it never fails to bear fruit."

~ Yirmeyahu 17:8.

The word comes from sharash (the bottom, or heel) it can literally mean "root" (of a plant), and more figuratively "the start point" from where you gain security and sustenance. Interestingly, Hebrew is almost entirely based on a system of 3-consonant roots upon which each word and verb is built.

We are constantly challenged by the words of Sha'ul in his letter to the Romans in chapter 11, verses 17 and 18:

"If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you."
