This short, readable, scholarly work is a must read for anyone who seeks to know what Yeshua (Jesus) REALLY said about some lifestyle choices.

Though having broad implications, the book mostly deals, exhaustively, with a small passage from Matthew chapter 23 where Yeshua (Jesus) spoke regarding obedience to the Pharisees. Gordon's credentials as a linguist are impressive.

There's also a video version available, where you can watch Nehemia give a talk based on the text of his book. As such, it gives less detail but is no less impressive as a message that challenges the status quo of our traditional Christian understanding.
